قُلْ يَٰعِبَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ … وَأَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٌ إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى ٱلصَّٰبِرُونَ أَجْرَهُم بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
وَأَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٌ — the sentence reminds one who is hemmed in that a change of place is open to him. It is transmitted that in the classical commentaries this is connected with the emigration.
بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ — "without reckoning". Words for measure, weighing and requital will occur often throughout the sūra (39/47, 39/69-70). That here, in a sūra whose very subject is reckoning, the reckoning is lifted for one single group, is worth recording.
And that group is al-ṣābirūn. I record this as an observation: that endurance is not a measurable operation is answered by its reward too being given without measure.
